Catching public transport

Catching a bus or train is a great way to safely get to and from school.  Transport NSW issues School Opal cards to students eligible for travel under the School Student Travel Scheme (SSTS) via a new on-line application process.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for a School Opal card, students need to be NSW residents and may need to live a minimum distance away from their school:

Who needs to apply?

Most students or parents won't need to apply for the School Opal card.  The School Opal card will be sent to a student's school automatically at the beginning of each new school year

However, a new application is required if:

If a student doesn't qualify for free travel

They may be eligible for a Term Bus Pass which offers travel on buses between home and school at a discounted rate for the whole school term.  Apply at www.transportnsw.info/school-students

Simplified replacement Opal Card process

Schools won't need to endorse additional applications for lost, stolen or damaged passes, as parents, guardians and students simply need to visit www.transportnsw.info/school-students or call 131 500 to order a School Opal card.

CDC NSW is our local bus operator, the timetable includes:

Morning Buses
*  Route 8070 @ 8:12am (from Turramurra High School, via Kissing Point Road)
*  Route 573 @ 8:47am (from Turramurra Station)

Afternoon Buses
*  Route 9085 @ 3:00pm (to Normanhurst via Hornsby)
*  Route 9086 @ 3:15pm (to Fox Valley via Blytheswood Avenue)
*  Route 573 @ 3:09pm (to Turramurra via Pacific Highway - opposite school)
