Dear Parents & Carers,
Thank you for ongoing support as we work together to manage student learning during this challenging time.
As of Monday, 11 May, students will be working at school on one day per week. At Warrawee PS we have allocated the children’s attendance day using the alphabetical order of surnames. This will enable siblings to attend school on the same day.
Equal numbers of students will attend each day from Monday to Thursday and teachers will spend Fridays planning the online learning program for the following week. Children of essential workers and those who are vulnerable may continue to attend each day.
When attending school, the students will be placed in either a stage or grade group of approximately 10 students, however, they may not be with their class teacher. All students will be continuing to work on their online class program while the teacher will provide explicit teaching and assistance to individual students, groups or the class.
As we move into this new phase we continue to ask that social distancing procedures are followed at drop off and pick up times please. This week, the concrete playground on the K-2 side of the school is being removed in preparation for a new surface to be laid. This is a massive job and students in K-2 will find it much easier to move around the site if they enter and exit from the Finlay side of the school. This work will continue for several weeks.
Email and telephone continue to be the preferred means of contact with the teacher should you have any questions.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming more of the children back to school next Monday.
Kind regards,
Carrie Robertson
